The horizontal is made of SAN plastic which is 100% BPA- and PVC-free, as well as free of phthalates. There may be a slight off-taste of plastic on first filling, as it is brand new plastic. However, you can be sure that this taste does not come from the material that releases plastic to the water. Nevertheless, we recommend that you rinse the bottle thoroughly with warm water before using it for the first time.

Horizontal can be washed in hot / boiling water with soap, or put in the dishwasher. We recommend that you wash your Horizontal weekly if it is in use every day. Wash it with warm water and soap, shake it thoroughly and pour it out - repeat a few times.

If you want a more efficient cleaning of the water bottle, we recommend that you use a fresh lemon which is pressed into the water bottle, then add a little salt and warm water. Shake it pour and let the mixture lie on each flat side for min. 5 min and then let it stand for min. 5 min.

After 15 min. is your Horizontal brand brand new.

You should always rinse your bottle with cold water after cleaning.

Yes! We recommend that the bottle max. fill 2/3 - this prevents damage to the water bottle.

This is exactly as with ice cubes. It is lime as well as minerals and is completely harmless. It is a normal process that separates particles in the tap water. It occurs when tap water is frozen from the outside in. This presses lime and minerals together towards the center. When the water thaws, lime and minerals are heavier than the water and therefore end up at the bottom as larger particles.

If this is to be avoided, we recommend boiling the water before freezing.

Here lime and minerals are boiled out of the water.

Yes, the water bottle is welcome in the dishwasher.

However, it is not the most optimal cleaning method for this water bottle. We refer to question 2 where our recommendations for washing the water bottle are described.

Unfortunately no . The bottles cannot withstand being under pressure.

We therefore recommend that you do not pour liquids containing carbon dioxide into the bottles. This can damage the bottle. In addition, we recommend that you only use water in a Horizontal water bottle.
